Supports horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations by accurately guiding drill heads
Ensures bore paths follow engineered plans and avoid underground utilities

Qualification

Subsite locating equipmentDCI locating equipmentBlueprint readingUnderground fiber constructionCDL PermitPhysical fitnessSelf-motivatedTeamwork

Required

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Company will provide industry training and certifications if not already secured
CDL is a plus
Valid Drivers License
Prior experience with Subsite or DCI locating equipment required
Capacity to read and understand blueprints; knowledge of utility depths and placements; general knowledge of construction practices is required
Able to work in trenches, manholes, tunnels and confined spaces and in work settings with moderate to loud noise levels
Able to move in different positions – crouching, kneeling, reaching, bending and lifting 75 lbs., unassisted
Abie to keep good logs and consistent reporting
Willing to work overtime when required, willing to travel and to work in all-weather conditions
Must get a CDL Permit within 30 days of start date
Must obtain CDL within 6 months of start date
Self-motivated and able to work well in groups

Preferred

Prior experience in underground fiber and coax construction a plus
Prior experience in standard and high risk areas preferred
