Responsibilities

Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
Applies the practices and policies of the Black Box Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) manual
Develops and implements and participates in safety and orientation training programs
Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
Maintains a record of all safety documents including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plan (PTP), JHAs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organizational use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
Other duties as necessary

Required

Strong understanding of training development and presentation
Excellent organization and prioritization skills
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OHSHA 10 and 30 hour
BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, OHST
