Computer Aided Design Drafter

Responsibilities

Create template shore and shipboard drawings with AutoCAD using standards as defined by the Shore Installation Project Handbook (SIPH) and US Navy shipboard drawing guidance as outlined with NAVSEA TS9090-310F and compliant with Technical Specification 9090-600 (Series), Ship Alteration (SHIPALT) Installation Drawing (SID) Preparation
Have the ability and willing to learn software as needed such as: SolidEdge, FARO Scene, Rhino 3D, Reliasoft Synthesis, Ultimaker 3D
Configuration management (Drawing Revisions/Changes) in accordance with ASME Y14.35
Provide mechanical assembly design support of project Antennas, cables, and electronic enclosures as required for both legacy and developmental items
May require periodic ship and shore site visits for drawing updates and review, new installation design

Required

4+ years of specific experience with developing Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.5B
4+ years of specific experience with developing Installation Design Packages (IDPs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.1
Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130) is required
Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline is desirable
Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130) is desirable
