Responsibilities
Reports any change in physical condition or behavior of patient to RN or Shift Manager
Provides hygiene care to assigned patients and documents care in EMR
Assists patients in ordering meals, feeding patient if necessary, removing tray from room and accurately documents dietary intake in EMR
Anticipates patients’ needs and answers call lights in a timely manner
Carries out fall prevention interventions for patients at risk; Keeps bed in low position, siderails up, bed alarm activated; responds quickly when alarm sounds
Prepares patient room for receiving an admission, including presence of O2 and suction set-ups
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
CNA or EMS certification, or sufficient equivalent experience
BLS from AHA
Communication, organization, computer, team player, works independently with guidance and delegation of RN/Medical Staff
