Part-Time Operations and Control Systems Engineer

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Assembly, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics and computer equipment used to measure, monitor, or support reactor operations, research, and/or instruction
Order, organize, and store spare parts as necessary to maintain reactor and other laboratory equipment
Install and maintain experimental equipment, reactor console electronics, radiation detectors, electronic dosimeters, and other electronic equipment
Comply with and perform work within established facility procedures, regulatory requirements, and University policies

Required

Formal training on electronic equipment and troubleshooting
Must pass a federal background investigation and radiation worker qualification administered by PSU Environmental Health and Safety
Must pass drug screening and are subject to random and for-cause testing

Past hands-on experience with electronics calibration and repair
