LEAD REALTY SPECIALIST

Responsibilities
Performs as the Real Property Accountable Officer (RPAO) and conducts a wide range of complex real property functions relating to the acquisition, management, and disposal of government real property
Serves as Team Leader over a group of Realty Specialists
Responsible for real property inventory maintenance, reporting, and data analysis
Acquires interest in real property and use rights involving a combination of complicating factors
Determines need for and takes actions to outgrant property
Disposes of excess buildings, facilities, systems, and infrastructure or land involving significant complicating factors such as historical and cultural concerns
Qualification
Required
Must be current AF Int/AF DCIPS employee within AETC
U.S. Citizenship Required
Males must be registered for Selective Service
A security clearance may be required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of a wide range of complex real property principles, concepts, and practices
Knowledge of property disposal policies and procedures, outgrant procedures, local market situations, and required documentation
Knowledge of policies and procedures for real property documentation and records
Skill in gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data to arrive at valid conclusions and offer meaningful recommendations
Ability to lead a team of realty specialists in the performance of real property functions
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and diplomacy
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements
Transcripts must be verified prior to appointment
An accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education must accredit education
