The role focuses on creating a secure architecture for export-controlled data within the SAP S/4HANA RISE Private Cloud Edition environment.

Responsibilities
Design and implement a compliant SAP security architecture aligned with CMMC 2.0 Level 2, DFARS 252.204-7012, ITAR, EAR, and NIST 800-171 requirements
Develop strategies to isolate, protect, or segment ITAR/export-controlled data within SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE
Define and document technical controls that prevent unauthorized access by foreign national support personnel
Create “controlled access zones” or equivalent secure enclaves within the RISE private cloud environment
Ensure designs are auditable and produce the evidence required for certification
Architect field-level, table-level, and process-level controls for CUI/ITAR data
Evaluate or redesign current homegrown ITAR data-segmentation application to ensure it meets all compliance and performance requirements
Evaluate commercial data masking, tokenization, encryption, and access control tools for suitability and compliance
Define secure patterns for data transmission, storage, reporting, and integration with external systems
Establish security policies, procedures, and standards for controlled data within SAP
Support security assessments, external audits, and CMMC certification activities
Develop required documentation, including SSPs, system diagrams, and control narratives
Work closely with SAP Basis, Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams as well as functional process owners
Partner with RISE support teams to address architectural and operational constraints
Provide expert technical guidance on secure development practices for any custom solutions required
Advise senior leadership on risk, compliance posture, and recommended mitigation strategies
Qualification
Required
U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident) due to ITAR handling
10+ years of SAP security architecture, Basis security, cyber architecture, or equivalent experience
Deep understanding of CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, DFARS requirements, and ITAR/CUI data protections
Direct experience securing SAP systems for defense or aerospace organizations
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA security, roles/authorizations, table protection, and identity management
Knowledge of SAP RISE Private Cloud architecture, operational support model, and access considerations
Experience implementing encryption, tokenization, or data isolation solutions
Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical SAP controls and system design
