Head of Strategy & Operations
Elix is a women-led wellness startup focused on transforming women's health through Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Head of Strategy & Operations will work closely with the CEO to drive strategic clarity, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution to scale the company's impact on women's health.

Responsibilities
Partner directly with the CEO to define annual and quarterly company strategy, OKRs, and business priorities
Translate high-level strategy into actionable plans, operating rhythms, and cross-functional alignment frameworks
Develop structured hypotheses, models, and decision frameworks to guide strategic choices
Conduct market, customer, and competitive analyses to inform growth opportunities and strategic direction
Architect and implement Elix’s operating system including meeting cadences, dashboards, processes, workflows, SOPs, and documentation
Diagnose bottlenecks and design solutions that improve efficiency, speed, and clarity across the organization
Own cross-functional project management for high-ROI initiatives—ensuring timely execution and resource alignment
Improve internal communication flows, decision-making frameworks, and accountability mechanisms
Drive a high performance culture and oversee key Talent Management processes with support of subject matter experts
Own Elix’s financial modeling, scenario planning, and forecasting to guide strategic decisions
Run weekly and monthly business performance reviews with clear insights and recommendations
Partner with external accounting, finance, and PEO (Professional Employer Organization) vendors to ensure compliance, accuracy, visibility, and discipline in reporting
Contribute to board materials, investor updates, and fundraising preparation with rigorous models and strategic storytelling
Evaluate COGS, margin opportunities, inventory planning, and operational risk
Lead vendor review, negotiation, scorecard and ROI assessments from a strategic and financial lens
Ensure operational plans and product availability align with marketing, growth, and new product launch strategies
Evaluate opportunities for new products, categories, markets or business models through structured analysis and customer insights
Build business cases including market sizing, competitive landscape, financial projections, and go-to-market strategy
Partner cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness and strategic alignment for new product launches
Serve as a strategic extension of the CEO - bringing structure, clarity, and rigor to complex or ambiguous challenges
Represent the CEO in select internal and external conversations where alignment, clarity, or influence is needed
Drive forward high-impact special projects (e.g., channel expansion, operational improvements, strategic partnerships)
Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team with clear goals, accountability, and growth plans
Drive cross-functional collaboration, alignment and execution to ensure there is cross pollination of ideas and roadmaps are coordinated toward shared goals
Establish clear mechanisms for goal setting, performance management, and cross-functional communication
Qualification
Required
6–8+ years in management consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or strategy/operations at a high-growth consumer, wellness, or healthcare company
Strong financial and analytical fluency with expertise in modeling, scenario planning, forecasting, and business casing
Deep experience designing cross-functional processes, systems, and operating cadences
Exceptional problem solver with the ability to synthesize complexity into simple, actionable recommendations
Clear, concise communicator who can influence without authority and drive alignment across teams
Highly organized operator who thrives on structure, clarity, and continuous improvement
Mission-driven, disciplined, and excited to build at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science
Balances day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning, driving decisions that deliver immediate results while positioning the company for sustained growth
Manages sensitive information with integrity, applying careful judgment to maintain confidentiality in all decisions
