Responsibilities

Assess the market opportunity for one or more new disease areas
Evaluate key commercial market dynamics, future competitive landscape, regulatory considerations and clinical development pathways
Synthesize data into actionable insights from various sources including physician interviews, syndicated market research reports, scientific publication and internal expertise
Build business case and forecast peak commercial opportunity in support of new portfolio opportunities
Provide support to ongoing pipeline initiatives and strategic projects
Deliver a department presentation at the end of the program
Participate as a member of the 2026 intern team group project that includes a company-wide presentation

Ability to perform detailed work accurately and in a timely manner
Must be able to complete at least 10 consecutive weeks between June and August
Must be able to work at our Redwood City office for the duration of the internship, no relocation available

Preferred

Analytic skills with aptitude to distill scientific, clinical, and commercial information into clear insights
Scientific curiosity and familiarity with how pharmaceuticals are developed and commercialized
Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree with a scientific focus preferred
MBA in process preferred
Prior experience in the drug/biotech industry preferred
