RTS Analyst

Responsibilities

Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections on aircraft components and subassemblies according to customer requirements, repair manuals, and technical data
Inspect completed parts for airworthiness
Issue FAA 8130-3 (EASA/CAA UK Dual Release) as required
Assess APUs and components using OEM and industry standard inspection procedures and Measuring and Test Equipment
Assign work scope to non-serviceable parts, determining the necessary repairs to return them to a serviceable condition
Utilize data-driven decision making to manage metrics like first pass yield and throughput and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine inspection techniques and reduce defects
Prepare and maintain detailed repair, inspection, investigation, and certification records and reports
Suggest and implement process improvements once identified as viable
Practice good housekeeping and 5S principles
Provide technical assistance to suppliers and inspection areas
Interact with engineers and suppliers to resolve design, development, production, and acceptance issues
Review documents or materials for compliance with policies or regulations

Required

High school Diploma or GED
1-3 years' experience in Turbine Engine repair and overhaul
1-3 years' experience in the evaluation of component damage and repair selection
1-3 years' experience in inspection and tooling process
Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret dimensional drawings and OEM manuals
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketch sheets, routings, technical data, and FAA maintenance manuals
Familiarity with various inspection techniques and metrological tools (micrometers, depth mics, dial indicators, optical comparators, gages, etc.)
Attention to Detail and ability to work with data
Communication Proficiency
Good work ethic, attendance and ability to work independently
Teamwork Orientation

Preferred

AA degree or equivalent experience in related discipline
Proficient in MS office applications and knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline)
Experience in reading blueprints and GD&T
