Systems Engineer - Infrastructure & Administration

Emerald Technical Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Administration to provide hands-on systems administration and integration support for a hybrid infrastructure environment. The role involves managing operational environments, ensuring security and compliance, and supporting development teams and mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and sustain hybrid (on-premises/cloud) infrastructure supporting developers and mission-critical projects
Perform core systems administration duties, including:
Applying patches and security updates (IAVA compliance)
Enforcing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Performing system and application upgrades
Troubleshooting connectivity and ensuring system availability
Managing code repositories, developer storage, and related tools
Ensure integration laboratories and operational environments conform to DoD, IC, and Command IA/security policies and directives
Support and maintain SecDevOps processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines for rapid and secure application delivery
Conduct systems integration management tasks, documentation, and reporting in accordance with program plans
Manage the transition of new capabilities from prototype/DevOps into production, ensuring compliance with system requirements and architecture
Monitor 'as built' environments for conformance with approved requirements and design artifacts

Required

Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3–10 years of relevant experience, OR Associate's degree with 4 additional years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator in hybrid environments
Proficiency in patching, STIG compliance, upgrades, and connectivity troubleshooting
Experience managing infrastructure supporting developers (repositories, storage, CI/CD)
Familiarity with DoD/IC IT and IA compliance standards
