As an Entry Level Staff Engineer, you will support the Transportation and Roadway Design team in delivering vital infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience in designing roadway infrastructure and ensuring compliance with standards.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design of roadway infrastructure including alignments, grading, drainage, and traffic control
Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
Support senior engineers in meeting project goals and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards
Assist with drainage modeling, traffic control planning, and design documentation
Perform site visits to collect field data and support construction activities
Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation) to prepare and revise design plans
Help review contractor submittals, RFIs, and support construction administration tasks
Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies during design and permitting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EIT certification, or planning to by June 2026
Strong interest in roadway and transportation design
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Basic knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, or state DOT standards
Effective communication and organizational skills
Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative in a team environment
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
Experience or coursework related to corridor modeling in Civil 3D
Exposure to fieldwork, including inspections or data collection
Understanding of common project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, etc.)
Interest in obtaining a PE license and engaging in professional development
