Responsibilities

Conduct experiments to investigate how pathogens evade host immune responses and manipulate cellular processes to thrive within host cells

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the peer reviewed literature that pertains to overall project goals and specific tasks required of the project

Record all methods, results, and other relevant information in an organized manner as instructed by the Principal Investigator

Perform experiments, data analysis and manuscript preparation

Required

Ph.D. in a biological science or related discipline by start of the appointment

Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in the life sciences

Experience in microbiology, host-pathogen interactions, cell biology, confocal microscopy, immunology, or flow cytometry

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, deadline-oriented research environment

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Superb communication and record-keeping skills

Experience with computers/technical programs

Demonstrate durable skills such as leadership, character, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, metacognition, mindfulness, growth mindset, fortitude, customer service, integrity, and a commitment to the university values

Available for reliable and consistent onsite work
