Professional Engineer

Responsibilities

Perform engineering design and analysis for electric power distribution systems, including overhead and underground infrastructure
Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and project documentation
Provide technical guidance and support during construction, field verification, and commissioning activities
Partner with utility clients to ensure compliance with standards, reliability goals, and safety regulations
Conduct site visits to assess field conditions and validate engineering designs
Support project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk identification
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful project delivery

Required

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (any U.S. state; ability to obtain local licensure if required)
Ability to work in-office or hybrid depending on assigned PENG location needs
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a Power Concentration (other core engineering disciplines will be considered)
Power distribution design experience with a focus on electric utility systems
Previous electric utility experience (distribution preferred)
Field experience assessing or implementing distribution or related electrical infrastructure
Demonstrated hands-on aptitude—mechanical, automotive, electronics, DIY/outdoor activities, or similar practical skills that support understanding of how equipment and systems function
