Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and systems that enable Amazon Leo’s compliance with extensive regulatory obligations

You will partner closely with compliance colleagues, technical program managers, and product management to deliver robust, scalable tooling and system solutions that support Amazon Leo's compliance efforts across GSC

You will architect and implement software solutions that integrate with Amazon Leo's engineering infrastructure (software and networking systems)

You will lead the technical design and implementation of large-scope systems, including critical business initiatives that span multiple teams and services

You will mentor junior engineers, establish engineering best practices, and drive technical excellence across the organization

Required

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
