Mid LevelThe Town of Barnstable is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Technician for the Barnstable County Dredge Department. This role involves the maintenance and repair of various mechanical equipment, requiring hands-on skills with engines and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities
Work includes the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical equipment used by the department
Changing oil
Replacing fittings
Managing spare parts
Qualification
Required
High school education
Proven experience with diesel, gas and outboard engines
Proven experience with hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
Proven experience with marine electrical systems
Proven experience with welding
Valid Driver's License
Reliable transportation to and from the job site
Ability to acquire a hydraulic license (Class 2A) within first year of employment
Ability to travel to each project site using department vehicles on Cape Cod
Ability to work Saturdays as needed
Ability to tolerate conditions on the water, vibrations, heat, confined spaces, and high noise levels
