The role involves providing accounting support and partnership to various businesses within a manufacturing enterprise, including responsibilities such as month-end closing tasks, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities

Complete month-end closing tasks for the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reclassifications, and various other accruals

Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting

Perform quarterly General Ledger activities, such as reconciliations, exception reporting, and other related tasks

Review, maintain, and implement processes to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Perform regular reviews of cost center balances to ensure accuracy and compliance

Provide reporting and analysis to the Finance Team, and other relevant functions as needed

Support the independent financial audit

Maintain appropriate internal controls

Provide general ledger support across Operating Companies as needed fostering collaboration and consistency

Work closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment and to support the changing needs of internal customers
