Responsibilities
Act as the first responder for trading application incidents, minimizing downtime and financial impact
Conduct root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems; implement preventative solutions for recurring issues
Communicate incident status and follow-ups clearly to business stakeholders and senior technologists
Own and improve health monitoring and automation for Rates applications, reducing manual effort
Drive cost optimization and capacity resource management for scalable, efficient solutions
Align reliability engineering practices with business goals; partner with developers to deploy fault-tolerant systems
Enhance pipelines and scripting to support automation and deployment
Qualification
Required
Hands-on expertise with Geneos, including real-time monitoring and alerting for trading systems
Strong experience working in Linux environments, with proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and system troubleshooting
Solid understanding of SQL and Java, with the ability to support and optimize backend trading applications
Proven ability to manage and resolve production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and lead blameless post-mortems
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to streamline deployment and reduce manual effort
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, 'on-the-floor' mindset, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization
