Responsibilities
Serve as technical expert of assigned area during new vehicle and/or tooling launches
Conduct feasibility studies and detailed confirmations of new manufacturing processes
Coordinate and lead project activities, including design, supplier selection, and implementation phases
Coordinate launch schedules and report progress and issues to senior management
Support the launch of the new vehicle during initial production stage
Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate
FMEA development and implementation
Resolve safety, process and quality issues on new model launches
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
Meet all other requirements as assigned

Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
0 – 10 years job related experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as a design or launch/sustaining engineer, preferably in automotive (high volume)
Preferred experience with various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, welding/brazing, and hemming
Tool and Die training / experience
Proficiency in CAD modeling. CATIA V5/V6 experience a plus but not mandatory
