Immigration Attorney – Litigation Focus (Orlando, FL)
StevenDouglas is a well-respected boutique immigration law firm seeking an Immigration Attorney with a focus on litigation. The role involves managing complex family-based immigration cases, preparing legal filings, and representing clients in immigration proceedings.
Responsibilities
Manage and prepare family-based immigration filings (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)
Handle consular processing matters and prepare clients for interviews
Prepare waivers (I-601, I-601A) and affidavits of support
Manage naturalization cases (N-400)
Draft briefs, responses to RFEs/NOIDs, and other litigation-related documentation
Prepare VAWA, U-Visa, and other humanitarian applications
Conduct consultations and advise clients on eligibility, strategy, and timelines
Represent clients before USCIS and in immigration-related litigation
Maintain organized case files and ensure timely filings
Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and firm leadership
Stay up to date on immigration laws, regulations, and policy developments
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with any U.S. state bar
Minimum 2 years of family-based immigration experience, with litigation experience required
Strong writing, research, and case management skills
Compassionate communication style and ability to work with diverse populations
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced workflow
Preferred
Spanish/English bilingual abilities strongly preferred
