Responsibilities
Establish core supply chain processes for sourcing, procurement, materials planning, and inventory tracking
Support and drive adoption of systems and tools (ERP, spreadsheets, dashboards) to enable execution and visibility
Manage day-to-day procurement, PO placement, expediting, and shortage resolution
Personally handle urgent supplier issues, last-minute changes, and constrained components
Work side-by-side with engineering on BOM creation, component selection, alternates, and lifecycle risks
Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms appropriate for a startup
Balance cost, availability, and risk in a low-volume, high-uncertainty environment
Identify and mitigate single-source and long-lead-time risks early
Anticipate and respond to supply disruptions before they impact builds or customer deliveries
Create KPIs and reporting to track progress and surface risks
Help define the future supply chain organization as the company grows

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred
Strong OEM experience with deep familiarity with electronic components and BOM structures
Comfortable working without mature systems, processes, or support teams
Prior experience in an early-stage or hardware startup
3+ years of supply chain, materials, or procurement experience in electronics manufacturing
Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and early production ramps
This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, computer work and other physical activities
