Marketing and Communications Specialist Level I
Thrive Alabama is a leading healthcare organization seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist Level I to assist in promoting their mission through community outreach. The role involves creating marketing materials, managing social media content, and supporting event planning and internal communications.

Responsibilities
Social media content creation and management, including creating new posts, monitoring engagement, and ensuring the Thrive brand is being promoted positively online
Data entry and management in CRM, including running weekly reports and ensuring information is accurate—e.g., updating addresses as needed if mail is returned
Assist with implementation of giving strategies, including:
Helping to coordinate mailings
Researching vendors for mailings and other communications
Keeping up with CRM for donations, telephone conversations, items of relevance
Running reports from CRM for DDM, CEO
Learning filing system for CRM softward
Help manage internal communications, including:
Netpresenter
Sharepoint
Event planning and execution for events as needed, including:
Keeping up with RSVPs
Managing logistics (e.g., assigning seats at tables, making name tags, tracking sponsorships and individual gifts as needed, procuring logos, etc.)
Assist with in-kind donations, as needed
Administrative tasks, including:
Tracking employee anniversaries and birthdays
Updating employee directories and organizational charts, taking badge photos, etc
Taking meeting minutes, as needed
Keep website fresh and up-to-date
Assist GD with managing and executing #GivingTuesday
Other Duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience or course work
Must have an active interest in promoting the mission of Thrive Alabama
Must be willing to take direction from the Graphic Designer and Director of Development and Marketing
Be a team player
Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate scheduled appointments and community events
Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements and commitment to safeguarding client information
Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
Ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships with healthcare personnel and the public
Ability to travel throughout the north Alabama service area
Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism
Ability to work within and meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with others
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds, sit for extended periods of time, and walk between office buildings
Microsoft Office
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and InDesign
Preferred
Knowledge of web design (Joomla, WordPress) and videography a plus
