Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, perform problem resolution, and repair communications cabling (wire and fiber), circuits, wiring, conduit, equipment, systems, and end-instruments for EWOCS facilities
Communication systems and end-instruments may include, but not limited to, Telephone, Narrow band, Wide band, Timing, Digital Voice, VoIP, Public Address/Aural Warning, CCTV, and Computers
Maintain circuit records, drawings, traffic analysis records, and other documentation as required to ensure configuration management, and assist in system analysis
Prepare maintenance procedures and assist in training of personnel
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

HS Diploma or equivalent with two years related experience
Experience in at least three (3) of the following categories: cabling (wire and fiber) Telephone, Multiplexers, Timing, Digital Voice, VOIP, Public Address/Aural Warning, CCTV, or CRA (bench Tech experience). One category must be Digital Voice or CRA (bench tech experience)
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, lifts, and precision measuring and testing equipment is required
Must comply with safety policies and compliances and use safety protective equipment where required
Must work well in a team environment and interface well with the client
Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication
Must possess or have ability to obtain a Class D motor vehicle license
Ability to obtain secret security clearance

Preferred

AS/AA or higher in IT/Communication or related fields is preferred
NET+ or CCNA Certification is preferred
Knowledge of CCAS facilities preferred
