Responsibilities

Collect, organize, and analyze large environmental monitoring datasets from various sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Monitor ongoing data collection processes to ensure consistent and accurate data acquisition for future efforts
Identify and address data gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information, working to close these gaps proactively
Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights into key metrics and performance indicators
Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports that tell a meaningful narrative
Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to translate data insights into clear, easy-to-understand narratives for public consumption
Help design and implement public campaigns that provide information and address concerns in an interactive, engaging way
Contribute to the creation of public-facing dashboards, websites, or apps that provide timely, digestible updates in a user-friendly format
Serve as a key liaison between data teams, communications, and external stakeholders to ensure that all messaging is backed by reliable, insightful data
Provide expert advice to senior leadership, public relations teams, and external partners regarding data findings

Required

Bachelor's degree
This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Cape Canaveral, Florida area
Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
Ability to travel to various locations included but not limited to; Florida, California, Texas
Ability to travel internationally if required
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Advanced proficiency in data analytics and statistical modeling
Excellent ability to communicate complex data insights in an accessible, public-friendly manner
Strong writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including marketing, communications, and leadership
Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights
Creative thinker with a knack for developing interactive and engaging ways to share data
Proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment, often with shifting priorities
Passionate about using data to influence positive public engagement and foster informed decision-making
