Rewind Inspector/Operator- 2nd Shift
Times Microwave Systems (TMS) is the leader in coaxial transmission line technology and production, providing solutions for military, aerospace, wireless communications, and industrial applications. The Rewind Inspector/Operator will be responsible for winding wire and cable, performing quality checks, conducting minor repairs, and ensuring the proper functioning of the products.

Responsibilities
Wind from multiple reels to single reel as necessary for cabling or other operations
Visually checks all wire and cable during rewinding operations to detect rough finish areas, obvious diameter variations and other disqualifying elements
Take approved action to report, repair, remove faulty areas depending upon type and use requirements of wire or cable being rewound
Performs simple electrical test functions to check cables and other items for continuity and “dead” shorts
Run routine spark and similar tests following established practices and/or specific instructions
Performs minor cable repairs, trim braid, repair jackets and perform other routine repair operations as necessary
Check wall thickness, conductor and other diameters using micrometers and other measuring devices
Coat wires and cable as directed
