Century Arms is a manufacturing company, and they are seeking a CNC Machine Operator I. The role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes while ensuring the quality of work and maintaining equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities

Adjusts machines, including controls or control media, as required to ensure quality of work

Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other manufacturing personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues

Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly

Performs basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment

Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements

Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis

Required

Minimum of two years' experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and mill machines in a manufacturing environment

Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include, but not limited to, calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales

Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various CNC machines
