AI Collaborator, Inc. is a fast-growing enterprise AI startup seeking a Director of Finance & Administration to serve as the financial and operational backbone of the company. The role involves building and leading the finance function, managing FP&A processes, and ensuring operational performance while supporting people operations and infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

Build and lead AIC’s Finance function as the company’s first Director-level finance hire
Own end-to-end FP&A: annual planning, forecasting, KPI reporting, cashflow, scenario modeling, and variance analysis
Implement revenue recognition policies, cost accounting, and financial controls aligned to enterprise SaaS + services
Deploy FP&A tools to automate analytics, budgeting, and departmental reporting
Model unit economics, contribution margins, CAC/LTV, and partner ecosystem financial returns
Support Board reporting, investor materials, and CEO/Executive-level insights
Institutionalize AIC’s financial and operational “drumbeat” across weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews
Build integrated dashboards that unify data across Sales, Ops, HR, Engineering, and Product
Establish performance frameworks aligned with AIC’s North Star KPIs, OKRs, and AI-Agility metrics
Ensure the leadership team consistently operates with decision-grade data
Ensure systems support recruiting, onboarding, compensation planning, payroll, and headcount forecasting
Partner with HR/Recruiting to implement modern recruiting infrastructure and analytics
Build compensation modeling, referral incentive frameworks, and hiring prioritization models
Help deploy scalable onboarding systems for new hires
Centralize IT, cloud, and AI infrastructure cost management (compute, GPUs, SaaS, data, etc.)
Forecast GPU/model usage and cloud consumption through automated analytics
Implement procurement workflows with approval thresholds and spend governance
Govern lifecycle policies for hardware, licenses, accounts, and access management
Own facilities, insurance, vendor management, legal coordination, and compliance workflows
Manage corporate policies, financial documentation, contract tracking, SOC2/ISO27001 support, and renewals
Enforce internal controls suitable for a scaling enterprise AI organization

Required

BS degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent
5–10+ years in FP&A, Finance Operations, or related areas
Experience in high-growth startups/scale-ups (enterprise SaaS, AI, cloud, or services preferred)
Proven ability to build models, dashboards, processes, and systems from the ground up
Strong knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition, cost accounting, forecasting, and financial controls
Cross-functional experience supporting Sales, Product, Engineering, HR, and Operations
Excellent communication and executive presence, with ability to convert insights into action
High analytical proficiency with forecasting/modeling and financial tools

Preferred

Experience supporting HR operations, compensation modeling, or headcount planning
Knowledge of enterprise SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, Gross Margin, Partner Margin)
Exposure to SOC2/ISO27001, vendor risk processes, or compliance programs
Ownership of IT/cloud cost forecasting models
Experience implementing FP&A systems or enterprise reporting tools
