Sales Manager, Commercial Expansion
Gorgias is building a platform for Conversational Commerce, aiming to revolutionize ecommerce through AI-driven customer interactions. They are seeking a strong sales leader to manage their Commercial Account Management Team, focusing on driving expansion and renewals while coaching a team to exceed revenue goals.

Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing AM team: Manage and coach 6 Commercial Account Managers, each overseeing 100–120 accounts, ensuring they exceed revenue and performance goals
Coach in deals, not just in theory: Join AM calls, model strong discovery and negotiation, and guide AMs through live deal strategy and execution
Be onsite with customers: Visit customers independently or alongside AMs to deepen relationships, unlock opportunities, and drive strategic expansions
Develop talent: Provide clear, structured coaching on sales skills and career progression, helping AMs grow into their next role
Strengthen process & predictability: Build SLAs, improve forecasting rigor, and refine workflows to create a scalable, repeatable Commercial motion
Influence strategy: Surface customer insights, competitive signals, and market trends to shape our Commercial playbooks and GTM approach
Drive cross-functional alignment: Partner closely with CX, Sales and Product to align priorities, define ROEs, and create frictionless customer experiences
Own reporting & accountability: Deliver concise updates on team performance, pipeline health, risks, and wins to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
2+ years leading a quota carrying sales team, with a track record of exceeding quota and developing high performers
3–5 years as an AE (Commercial and ideally Enterprise), with strong closing experience
Mastery of discovery, qualification, value selling, and negotiation —and you know how to coach it
Skilled at motivating teams, giving direct feedback, and building trust
Comfortable analyzing KPIs, spotting trends, and using insights to drive performance
Clear, confident, and persuasive with customers and internal stakeholders
Proficient with HubSpot, Gong, and modern GTM tools
Experience in SaaS or working with e-commerce brands is a strong plus
Organized, adaptable, and great at prioritizing in a fast-moving setting
