Lead Commercial Counsel - Fintech
Larson Maddox is a late stage, high-growth startup Fintech company looking to bring on a Lead Commercial Counsel to join its in-house legal team. The role will be responsible for leading commercial contracting efforts, advising on strategic business initiatives, and ensuring compliance throughout the company.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the negotiation, drafting, and review of a variety of complex commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, licensing, and partnership deals
Serve as the primary legal advisor for the companies commercial operations, providing practical and business-oriented guidance
Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and best practices to streamline processes
Advise on compliance matters, including data privacy, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support revenue growth and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
7+ YOE in commercial transactions; ideally with background working in-house at a Fintech or Financial Services company
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Strong understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance
Ability to be in the company's New York City office on a hybrid schedule - 2 days a week
