They are seeking a full-time Check-In Receptionist responsible for greeting patients, checking them in, and handling administrative tasks related to patient intake and financial processes.

Responsibilities

Greet each patient upon arrival at the front desk

Check patient into Onco

Provide forms that need to be completed by the patient

Verify any changes in insurance coverage

Scan insurance card(s) and picture ID into the electronic chart

Collect co-payments and/or unpaid balances as noted for 99% of patients with co-payments and/or unpaid balances noted and log payment

Inform Patient Financial Navigator of any patient requiring PAR clearance before placing chart for pick-up by lab for 100% of patients requiring PAR clearance

Balance “drawer” at the end of each day by completing cashier’s report

Inform patient if schedule is compromised by patient or by practice to establish realistic expectations for “wait time”

Maintain waiting room such that fresh coffee and hot water are available for patients and the area appears organized and tidy

Maintain supplies for front desk and assist check-out as needed

Qualification

Computer skillsMedical office experienceHigh school degree
