CNC Programming Intern
TRUMPF is a family-run, high-tech company seeking candidates for an internship in the Sheetmetal Fabrication Department at their Farmington, CT location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and complement their classroom learning.

Responsibilities
Dynamically nest for the laser cut machine and the combination machine
Analyze engineering detail drawings for standardization, material, heat treatment and elements of design in relation to programming and applying standard data for times for NC/CNC machines
Specify definite pattern on a program sheet for the way a part will be machined
Develop necessary instruction information and make drawings indicating where to place the work piece on the machine and how to hold it
Design fixtures in order to manufacture production and customer parts
Assist other persons to make sure the programming time, tape punching and programming is correct
Create routings according to TRUMPF standards
Make manual changes to machine code
Assure the actual setup, cycle and secondary times are reflected properly in the SAP routing
Operate machining center when operators are absent
Qualification
Required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong inter-personal communication skills
Ability to work as a team player
Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate's degree in a related field
