Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of potential donors and supporters, building and nurturing relationships, and ensuring their ongoing engagement with MSM’s mission and initiatives

Ensuring that donors are acknowledged and appreciated for their generosity

Craft and maintain narrative elements and leverage various platforms and outlets to share the Morehouse School of Medicine story with donors, ensuring they are well-informed about the impact of their contributions

Collaborate with the team to create and manage reporting mechanisms that track the impact of donor contributions and communicate results to donors in a meaningful way

Support special projects and events designed to engage donors, showcase MSM’s work, and foster donor relationships

Serve as a liaison with key organizational departments and partners, facilitating collaboration and alignment between donor stewardship efforts and other institutional activities

Required

A bachelor's degree and three to five years of experience in an educational, non-profit, or business development setting, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required

Experience with a CRM such as Raisers Edge, Salesforce or equivalent

Ability to effectively craft and share a compelling story using various platforms and outlets, especially in writing

Strong orientation to innovation and leveraging new tools and systems for efficacy and efficiency

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Ability to build and accelerate trust across the organization, multiple constituents, and with various team members

Ability to exercise confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion

Track record of creating, managing, and sustaining complex systems and processes that drive operational excellence

Advanced knowledge and experience managing and maximizing the potential of various software and databases, including customer relationship management platforms, Outlook 365, Smartsheet, process automation software, web management software, mass email applications, etc

Experience creating and managing reporting mechanisms for an organization or team

Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing priorities effectively

Commitment to delivering excellent customer service experiences for constituents and team members

Ability to influence others toward desired outcomes, especially in a resource acquisition capacity
