Responsibilities

Lead teams of Structural Engineers and Designers on large-scale projects
Interface directly with clients throughout design and construction phases
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development
Prepare, check, and review structural design calculations and system models
Write forensic and investigative engineering reports
Define structural systems and model designs using Revit, adhering to local, state, and federal codes, including UFC guidelines
Utilize advanced structural engineering software tools (RISA preferred)
Participate in Construction Administration activities, including site visits and reviews, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Structural Engineer
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Experience designing with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and cold-formed steel
Proficiency with structural engineering software such as RISA 3D
Willingness to learn Revit, if not already proficient

Preferred

Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license
Experience designing structures for regions with hurricanes or high seismic activity
Prior experience applying Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) design guidelines
