Responsibilities
Provide support to the communications team on departmental projects and events
Assist with daily media monitoring, daily reports and event recaps
Draft various writing tasks as delegated including press releases, awards submissions, bios, internal newsletters, etc
Build and maintain media lists
Attend and shadow department meetings and press calls
Assist with various mailings and general office work
Qualification
Required
Strong research, organizational and presentation skills
Excellent oral & written communications and sharp editing skills
Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Full-time undergraduate (Junior or Senior) at a four-year college with a major in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field of study
Minimum 3.2 GPA
Preferred
Media field of study a plus, e.g., Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Broadcast Journalism
