Stock Yards Bank & Trust is a financial institution with offices across Kentucky and parts of Indiana and Ohio. They are seeking a Commercial Lending Paralegal to assist in-house counsel with legal compliance, draft loan documents, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assists in-house counsel to provide all lending areas guidance on legal compliance according to Bank Loan Policy and specifics of loan approval

Draft Loan Document forms and special provisions as required

Review approvals of credit in Credit Quest and provide support documenting the Loan according to the approval

Monitor and review loan documentation to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as Loan Policy and ensure closed loans are consistent with their approved terms and conditions

Advise lending staff on the proper legal structure of notes, participations, UCC filings and other legal documents

Assist in formulation of bank policy as to various legal, risk, compliance and credit issues

Work with internal and external parties to ensure standardization of language in compliance with Loan Policy and to mitigate risk

Review loan documents, title, surveys, organizational documents and other legal due diligence prior to and after closing of loans to ensure and confirm compliance

Review and monitor collateral technical exceptions

Verify liability insurance of outside counsel on an annual basis

Maintain outside counsel approved list

Perform administrative duties for Deputy Counsel

Other functions as required
