Responsibilities

Oversee daily sanitation and food safety compliance with GMPs
Drive product quality improvements and continuous process enhancements
Manage sample submissions and coordinate with third-party labs
Lead SQF, regulatory, and supplier audits; ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, Halal, and Organic standards
Maintain HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, allergen programs, and training initiatives
Develop and verify SOPs impacting food safety and quality
Manage product development documentation, labeling, and specifications
Ensure proper equipment calibration and hazardous waste compliance
Provide food safety training and foster a strong food safety culture
Supervise Quality Control Technicians and oversee staffing needs
Prepare annual budgets and collaborate on capital projects

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
5-10 years in food manufacturing quality or safety roles
HACCP-certified Practitioner; strong knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; flexible for overtime or off shifts
