Administrative Assistant - County Attorney Mental Health Division

The role involves liaising between various stakeholders, maintaining confidential files, preparing legal documents, and managing the attorney's calendar and case logs.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Liaise between hospitals, courts (judges, probate auditors, and coordinators), Attorneys Ad Litem and public for high-volume and extremely time-sensitive caseloads
Sets up and maintains HIPAA-protected files and information
Prepares documents for review and revision by attorney in preparation for filing
Maintains attorney’s calendars and dockets, including appearance dates, and other related matters, to ensure deadlines are met
Maintains subject matter/case process logs for multiple case types
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Family Law experienceHIPAA complianceComputer skillsTyping skills (40 wpm)Verbal skills

Required

High school diploma/GED
3 years job related experience, familiar with Family Law
Strong computer and typing skills (40 wpm)
Strong verbal skills and ability to interact effectively with other employees and the public
