Troon is a company experiencing a high volume of growth, and they are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to expand their accounting and analytical skills. The role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for various accounting projects.

Responsibilities

Prepares, analyzes and reviews recurring monthly journal entries, supporting schedules and ad hoc requests

Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations and account variance analyses to ensure the accuracy of financial data across multiple business units

Prepares and submits monthly financial statements and supporting schedules that identify actual, budget, variance and over/under based on the plan

Implements and adheres to policies and procedures for the Accounting function, including compliance of all company accounting standards

Recommends to management the implementation of policies, procedures, processes and controls based on continual analysis of current accounting processes

Interact with internal and external customers using both verbal and written communication skills to discuss accounting processes or issues

Provide support to Controllership, Tax and FP&A functions related to various other domestic and international accounting projects

Responsible for training, planning, assigning, and directing work

Performs other duties as required

Required

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in accounting is required

A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting is required

Must have very good verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to successfully collaborate with other teams

Regular and reliable attendance

Strong organization and decision-making abilities

Microsoft Office Suite experience required, with a heavy emphasis on Excel

Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job
