Account Director, Global Sales

AUVSI, the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics, is seeking a motivated and accomplished Account Director to drive sales for the Association’s programs and expand revenue streams. The role involves managing a global portfolio, leading the sales process, and engaging with customers to customize solutions that meet their needs.

Responsibilities

Drive growth across multiple product lines and priorities within the Association to hit respective budget goals
Lead the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, and accurately track the sales pipeline
Leverage an existing book of business and established relationships within the uncrewed, autonomous, and robotics sectors to accelerate revenue and expand market reach
Maximize sales across assigned territories, engaging current and prospective customers primarily through phone and email communication, with occasional in-person sales
Represent AUVSI at select in-person events in order to identify new business, identify new prospects, and meet with current customers to strengthen relationships
Collaborate with all internal teams in the Association to ensure cohesive and unified messaging and to create and maintain integrated sales strategies
Use Association CRM tools, Netforum, and Salesforce to accurately track sales pipelines and manage accounts
Proactively engage with potential and existing members to communicate the value proposition of AUVSI membership, events, and media kit opportunities for the purpose of retention and maximizing sales
Monitor industry trends and member insights to anticipate market needs, guide product development, and actively participate in strategic planning initiatives
Demonstrate an eagerness to learn about industry trends, association initiatives, and member needs, while providing actional feedback from members to improve offerings and enhance customer satisfaction
Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to develop and refine sales skills, product knowledge, and industry insight

Required

Bachelor's degree in sales, business, marketing, or a related field
A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience showing proven success in managing the complete sales process from prospecting to closing to account management
Working knowledge of the uncrewed, autonomous and robotics systems industry, preferably in commercial and defense, a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience engaging with diverse personalities at all levels, ranging from coordinators to C-level executives and everything in between
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets with the ability to track against, meet, and exceed target goals and budgets
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized professionals who takes a proactive approach to learning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to craft persuasive communications

A willingness to embrace and learn new technologies or methodologies, adopt new tools, and be adaptable to ensure high levels of productivity
Ability to uncover and identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and educate and communicate on the value of AUVSI programs and services while providing feedback on product improvement recommendations based on customer insights
Must be highly adaptable to selling new, sometimes unproven products each year as the Association evolves to its customers' needs
High proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to use MS Teams collaboration platform; efficiency with other common office technology tools and relational CRM databases like Netforum & Salesforce
Organized and efficient with the ability to budget accordingly to manage inbound/outbound prospecting, customer service, and pipeline management for multiple product lines

Benefits

Base salary plus commission.
Hybrid
Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
