GE Vernova is seeking a Software Architecture & Development Lead to define and drive the software architecture strategy for internal automation platforms. The role involves developing scalable tools and APIs, enhancing project execution, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance through modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Define software architecture and development standards for automation tools supporting Grid Automation engineering and delivery teams

Lead development of automation platforms and scripting solutions (Python, Rust, C#, Node.js, etc.) to reduce cycle time and eliminate repetitive tasks

Integrate engineering tools with corporate systems (Smartsheet, Jira, SAP, GitHub, DOORS, relay configuration tools)

Design and deploy scalable APIs and microservices for critical workflows such as:

Relay settings validation

File parsing and data extraction

Automated reporting and documentation

Establish CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, automated testing, and reliable DevOps processes

Architect data models and storage solutions for engineering artifacts, test evidence, and project traceability

Promote modular design, component reuse, and creation of shared internal libraries

Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and build technical capabilities within engineering teams

Collaborate with AI/LLM teams to integrate intelligent automation into engineering digital assistants and copilots

Ensure high performance, maintainability, scalability, and utility-grade cybersecurity compliance across all developed software
