Analyst - Buy-Side Mergers and Acquisitions
Copper Run is a fast-paced, growth-oriented investment bank seeking a full-time Buy-Side M&A Analyst at their Columbus headquarters. The role involves supporting a dedicated deal team in executing buy-side engagements across various industries, conducting market research, and developing marketing materials.

Responsibilities
Conduct market and industry research to support M&A strategy and explore potential acquisition targets
Research and evaluate acquisition targets that fit within the scope of the client’s acquisition strategy
Conduct direct outreach including calls, emails, and mail to generate deal conversations with executives and senior leadership
Input, maintain, and update target and prospect data within the CRM system to ensure accuracy and completeness
Develop compelling marketing materials (letters, teasers, pitch decks etc.)
Participate in introductory conversations with business owners and clients, capturing key details, needs, and goals
Initiate, manage, and organize financial and organizational diligence items
Analyze and interpret financial statements
Respond to client and target inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Assist in training and guiding interns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
1–3 years of M&A, consulting, public accounting, or finance experience
Strong communication skills, including comfort with outbound calls
High attention to detail and organizational ability
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (plus an eagerness to master new tools)
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under deadlines
Strong team player mentality—collaborative and positive
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
