Responsibilities
Build and manage a targeted pipeline of high-performing insurance producers across P&C, Employee Benefits, Executive Risk, and Specialty verticals
Identify top insurance producer talent from major brokerages and strong regional agencies
Leverage existing industry relationships and networks to uncover passive candidates and emerging producer talent
Conduct proactive outreach to producers in strategic markets aligned with expansion priorities
Map local, regional, and national producer talent landscapes across multiple lines of business
Track key competitor intelligence: compensation models, overrides, book structures, revenue targets, non-compete considerations, and transition barriers
Provide ongoing insights to leadership on market trends influencing insurance producer movement and recruitment opportunities
Assess production history, revenue performance, book size, vertical expertise, and portability potential
Evaluate cultural fit, entrepreneurial orientation, and alignment with Bastion’s growth philosophy
Clearly articulate Bastion’s competitive advantages, platform differentiators, compensation structures, and leadership accessibility
Prepare detailed candidate briefs for executive review, including performance metrics, book analysis, and transition complexity
Manage highly sensitive recruitment processes requiring absolute discretion
Partner with legal on restrictive covenant reviews, portability considerations, and transition planning
Coordinate with leadership and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and producer ramp-up
Support new insurance producers through early-stage integration to maximize retention and revenue realization
Partner directly with senior leadership, regional practice heads, and business development teams to prioritize recruitment activity
Deliver weekly pipeline updates, competitor insights, and market intel summaries
Align producer recruitment with revenue targets, strategic market entries, and long-term platform positioning
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience recruiting insurance producers, sales talent, or revenue-generating roles in brokerage, MGA, or insurance carrier environments
Proven track record of successful producer acquisition or sales recruiting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to review production data, book metrics, and compensation details
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Prior experience at a top brokerage is strongly preferred
Advanced industry credentials (CPCU, ARM, CEBS, REBC, CLCS) preferred
