NEOGOV is seeking a part-time EMT Program Adjunct Instructor at Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) to provide high-quality instruction and practical skills training to students in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. The role involves delivering curriculum, supervising hands-on skills labs, and ensuring students master the clinical competencies required for certification while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction and skills training in accordance with master syllabi, program goals, and student learning outcomes, ensuring alignment with state and national EMS standards

Demonstrate mastery of EMS subject matter and maintain currency in the field through professional development, licensure, and membership in professional organizations

Utilize diverse instructional methods and available technology to maximize student engagement and accommodate various learning needs

Evaluate student performance consistently, provide timely feedback regarding grades and progress, and maintain accurate records in the institution’s learning management system

Ensure the safety and stewardship of college facilities, medical equipment, and materials during skills labs and classroom activities

Comply with the philosophy, policies, and regulations of the College, including FERPA guidelines, as set forth in the Board Policy Manual and Employee Handbooks

Maintain professional boundaries and conduct, adhering to federal and state laws and maintaining a professional appearance as defined by the discipline

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience demonstrating EMS skills in a training, clinical, or field environment required

Current State or National Registry EMT license required for Basic Life Support (BLS) skills labs

Current State or National Registry Paramedic license required for Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills labs

Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC's vehicle insurance required

Preferred

Postsecondary coursework in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or related health sciences preferred

Experience effectively interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, supervising or collaborating with a multifunctional team, and following structured protocols in an educational setting preferred

State EMS Instructor (EMSI) license preferred
