They are seeking a Process Engineer to support their Alabama Works manufacturing facility by developing and standardizing procedures to ensure product quality and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Develops standard work applications and procedures for U.S. Pipe operations around best practices to ensure efficiency and quality
Leads the development of U.S. Pipe standard raw material specifications for use in supplier quality assurance and procurement bidding
Working with the manufacturing plants’ finished product samples to ensure they meet internal and external specifications
Develop programs to eliminate or reduce equipment downtime, costs and scrap losses by leading and guiding teams through Lean events/tools
Improving manufacturing plants’ processes to increase quality, performance and profitability
Interacting with customers, both internal and external, giving product recommendations, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in problem resolution
Providing Manufacturing Plant support, including training, time studies, standard work auditing and troubleshooting
Interact with and train plant personnel
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is required
At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Experience in analytical methods and formal problem-solving methodologies is required
Preferred
Candidates with 5-10 years' experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering are encouraged to apply
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus
Experience with metallurgy, cement chemistry, and adhesives or coatings is a plus
Experience with simulation modeling for new and existing processes is a plus
