Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including property, personal property, and sales and use tax
Partner with external CPAs on the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns
Develop and implement proactive tax strategies to minimize liability and optimize the company’s overall tax position
Prepare and present monthly taxable income reports for multiple entities, monitoring GAAP vs. tax differences
Prepare annual tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards, ensuring accuracy in financial disclosures
Manage and coordinate tax audits with external auditors and tax authorities, addressing issues efficiently and professionally
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes to assess potential impact and advise leadership accordingly
Identify and implement opportunities for improving tax processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred)
5–7 years of progressive tax and accounting experience (healthcare industry experience preferred)
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and compliance requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Demonstrated professionalism and accountability for independent projects
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics (GP) is a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred
CPA or Master's in Taxation
Healthcare industry experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (GP)
