Responsibilities
Prepares structural design calculations in accordance with applicable design standards
Performing structural analysis of new designs and existing structures (High / Low rise building structure, and other miscellaneous structure such wall, sign structures etc. Experience with concrete design and construction is also required)
Leading and reviewing conceptual design alternatives in order to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions
Preparing technical specifications and special provisions
Performing internal QC reviews for detailed design
Preparing bidding documents
Responsible for leading the design development and review of structural design, details and drawings, including calculations for new and rehabilitation work
Use of AutoCAD and use of REVIT
Strong capabilities and understanding in using structural software such as STAADPro, RAM Steel, and SAP (or equivalent)
Leading of field inspection teams for evaluation of structural elements
Qualification
Required
Prepares structural design calculations in accordance with applicable design standards

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in structural engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to lead a design team on assignments
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
PE License is preferred
Must be comfortable with AUTOCAD and REVIT programs
