Responsibilities
Attend at least 20 hours of approved professional development trainings per fiscal year
Attend local and state professional development workshops
Maintain daily hours worked in the ezLaborManager system
Provide site coordinator and/or director with all required records and reports
Assist in selection and development of instructional materials
Develop and maintain community awareness and contacts for AEL Program
Execute systematic recruitment and follow-up plans for AEL students
Develop and provide individualized program of learning for each student
Direct, guide, and evaluate student progress
Cooperate and assist the AEL Advocate in providing guidance and referral information to students for needed services, job information, and additional educational or vocational information
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the AEL Program, the Dean of Workforce Development and Technical Education or as designated by the President
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
Ability to become certified by the State of Missouri to teach Adult Education & Literacy
Fingerprinting through MACHS required for certification
Must attend the Pre-Certification and Introduction to Teaching Adults Workshops within three months of hire date
