Velosity Forest Lake is a custom contract manufacturer seeking an IT Support Technician II to assist employees with hardware and software support. The role involves providing technical assistance, managing service requests, and ensuring efficient IT operations within the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Provide support for workstations and laptops, such as installing replacement hardware, upgrading hardware, installing new software and upgrading current software

Provide support for printers, copiers, phones, scanners, A/V equipment, and other PC peripherals

Work cooperatively with all employees at multiple sites

Respond to IT related inquiries, requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner

Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems. And escalate more involved issues to the appropriate IT personnel

Document all support issues, resolutions and time in the company ticketing system as they occur. And communicate the findings with relevant stakeholders

Participate in the implementation of new IT directives and projects as determined by the IT Manager

Continually improve documentation with best standards, policies and practices for the company

Follow the required approval processes related to the access and distribution of information

Required

Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States

General experience with PCs and networks

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills; effective business correspondence and documentation

General working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, networking and DNS

Ability to follow directions and accurately complete assigned tasks

To be able to perform daily tasks safely

A willingness to learn and be able to work independently with limited supervision

Preferred

Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
