CAD Technician
mcfa is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business specializing in planning and program management. They are seeking a CAD Technician to support the Aberdeen Proving Ground's Master Planning Division and Real Property Management Branch, focusing on creating and managing CAD drawings for building evaluations and alterations.

Responsibilities
Conduct and document physical evaluations of building facilities to confirm individual room and building users, dimensions, square footage, use, and confirm as-built conditions of improvements made by tenants occupying the space
Gather data and prepare detailed drawings of building alterations from rough sketches and outlines with differing levels of detail, format, models, or oral instructions while developing solutions and details using the CAD System to complete drafting assignments
Be responsible for migrating current MicroStation standards into AutoCAD standards that can be used when performing DGN to DWG conversion
Prepare exhibits, drawings and technical data sheets needed for data calls, meetings, presentations, and reports
Qualification
Required
Legal Resident of the U.S. and ability to gain Common Access Card (CAC) government credentials and access to government systems
Associate's Degree in Computer-Aided Design
5 years of documented CAD experience with experience in Army or Department of Defense real property management standards preferred
Use Bentley MicroStation and AutoDesk suites of software to create, modify, convert, and standardize new or existing CAD drawings
Must have experience repairing or correcting non compliant data elements within CAD files to comply with established data standards
Must have experience performing quality assurance compliance reviews to ensure CAD deliverables conform to governing CAD standards
Preferred
Expert skills using AutoCAD (manipulating lines, polylines, hatches, text, styles, blocks, external references/overlays, layer management, print management, viewports, snap/grid and other system settings, etc.)
Programming with AutoLISP; ability to read, use, modify, and develop tools in AutoCAD
Skilled in using AutoCAD CLI (command-line interface) and scripting AutoCAD tools
Ability to customize AutoCAD to add tools to the GUI as menu items or ribbon items
General programming skills in other languages, such as Python, C++, etc. are desirable
Expert skills in Excel spreadsheets; must be proficient with table lookups, indirect references, importing/exporting data
Ability to read, understand, and modify architectural/construction drawings
Strive for accurate and dependable results and cultivate a problem-solving attitude for issues that may arise
Excellent communication skills to ensure client's needs are understood and met
