Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and lead comprehensive orientation for new hires, including clinical competencies and mandatory training
Develop and deliver ongoing in-service education in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate documentation of staff training, competencies, certifications, and licensure
Provide coaching and performance feedback to promote clinical excellence
Identify training needs through performance evaluations, clinical outcomes, and survey trends
Support and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
Oversee infection prevention practices, surveillance, reporting, and compliance with federal and state guidelines
Qualification
Required
Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Staff Development experience in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, JCAHO standards, survey processes, and competency requirements
Must be Infection Preventionist certified
Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in long-term care
Experience with PointClickCare, Relias, NHSN, Florida Department of Health, and Florida SHOTS
Strong understanding of long-term care regulations (CMS, F-tags, OSHA)
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at coaching and motivating staff
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
At least 1 year of experience in Staff Development, Infection Prevention, or quality improvement preferred
CPR Instructor certification preferred
CPHRM or Staff Development certifications (e.g., CDDN, NPD-BC) are a plus or must be obtained within a designated timeframe
